The mileage goes to Car-Pass from the document you already have open
In Belgium every job on a vehicle must be reported to Car-Pass. It is an obligation, but it is also what protects your customer the day they sell the car. In Plyx the report goes out from the work order or the invoice, without retyping the plate, the chassis number or the mileage.
How it works in Plyx
- One button on the work order or the invoice: chassis number, plate, date and mileage are already there.
- The registry's answer comes back on the document: sent, refused, or to be resent — with the explanation in plain words.
- The second submission, the work carried out, happens in the same place when you are done.
- The reported mileage becomes the car's reference: its record and the invoice tell the same story.
The traps we spare you
- The missing chassis number. Plyx warns you before sending instead of leaving you with an incomprehensible rejection.
- The odometer going backwards. A reading lower than the last known one is refused by the registry: Plyx says so beforehand, with both figures in view.
- The service being down. When the registry is under maintenance, the message says so and the submission is replayed later — nothing is half recorded.
- Selling a used car. Selling a car is not a job on it: there is nothing to report, and Plyx does not ask you to.
The mileage serves twice
The reading you report also feeds the vehicle's service and roadworthiness reminders: the next appointment is worked out on a real mileage, not an estimate. The same figure, entered once, serves both the legal obligation and the commercial follow-up.
Worth knowing
- The roadworthiness centre reports its own reading: that one is not yours to do.
- If the registry replies that today's mileage is already recorded, that is normal — someone has already reported it for that date.
